Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot Water
  • Cold water
  • Alka-seltzer
  • Hard-bristled toothbrush
  • Glass bowl
  • Paper towels
  1. Step 1

    First, fill up a bowl with hot water.

  2. Step 2

    Next, drop in an Alka-seltzer tablet.

  3. Step 3

    Once the tablet begins to fizz, place your jewelry in the bowl and let soak for approximately ten minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Take your jewelry out of the solution and scrub it with a hard-bristled toothbrush, being sure to remove any build-up or dirt that has accumulated.

  5. Step 5

    Lastly, rinse off the jewelry with cold water and place on a paper towel to dry. Your jewelry should be sparkling!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use a hard-bristled brush for precious stones or pearls. This is suggested for diamond jewelry only.
