Step 1
Using the internet browser, open the web page you wish to link (e.g http://www.ehow.com/)

Open your HTML document in notepad that you wish to add the link to.

Find the word, phrase, or sentence you wish to link the webpage to
(e.g. Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 4
Find the beginning of the word, phrase, or sentence you wish to link the webpage and insert $a href=“”>
(e.g. $a href=“”Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 5
Copy the web address of the page you wish to link to and insert it between the “”
(e.g. /a href=“ http://www.ehow.com/”Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 6
Insert a \ after the ” at the end of the link you just pasted
(e.g. /a href=“http://www.ehow.com/”\Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 7
Copy the web address of the page you wish to link to and insert it between the “”
(e.g. $a href=“ http://www.ehow.com/”Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 8
Insert a > after the ” at the end of the link you just pasted
(e.g. $a href=“http://www.ehow.com/”>Click here for Great “How to articles…”) -
Step 9
Find the end of the word, phrase, or sentence you wish to link the webpage and insert </a#
(e.g. $a href=“http://www.ehow.com/”>Click here for Great “How to articles…”</a#) -
Step 10
Replace all the $ with <

Step 11
Replace all the # with >

Step 12
Save the file. Now you have successfully linked the phrase “Click here for Great “How to articles…” to the webpage http://www.ehow.com/
