Step 1
Use real exercise equipment if possible, most hotels and destinations have on site pools and fitness centers. Some have yoga or fitness channels on the room televisions or you can travel with your own exercise DVDs or resistance bands. Do whatever you can with what's available.
-
Step 2
Stretch if there's no equipment for you to use or you have minimal free time at your disposal. Memorize some Pilates-like exercises or do simple sit ups and push ups. Just by stretching you can make your muscles long and lean, toned and give yourself more energy.
-
Step 3
Run or walk in the mornings if you have time. Fit in some sightseeing where you are visiting and walk to all the sites. On a business trip sometimes you get minimal time outside, take advantage if you can.
-
Step 4
Fit in small exercises between meetings and work of your trip is strictly business and it's not going to be possible to work out. Do squats and lunges in the bathroom. Breathe deeply and stretch your arms and legs long and lean. Always take the stairs to your meetings or in the hotel.

Step 5
Try to eat healthily and sleep well if you can. Since this can be difficult when on business, at least be aware of what you are eating and of portion sizes. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, minimize consumption of heavy carbohydrates, high sodium and fried foods to decrease feelings of bloating. Eat healthy, it's not a vacation but still your life.
