1. Become a mystery Shopper- There are several websites that cost nothing to get started with them. (mysteryshops.com is just one of them) You then sign up for the shops that interest you, go through the training, pass the test and bam you are ready to earn money by shopping!

2. Ebay selling- with a little research and a lot of patience you can clean out your home of items you no longer need and list the popular items on ebay for auctions. Not only are you cleaning out your home but you are also getting some extra money. Be sure to search out your items before you list them and ensure that the item is popular. Otherwise you may spend more trying to get rid of your items than you will get back.

3. Garage Sales- rally your neighbors into setting up a time to have a neighborhood garage sale. Neighborhood garage sales see 45% more traffic than a typical garage sale. Not only will you clean your home of items you no longer need and couldnt sell on ebay or didnt want to sell on ebay but you can also have your children set up a cookie/tea sale in addition.

4. Offer cleaning services to your family and neighbors- for a few hours a week basic cleaning of friends, family and/or neighbors homes can bring in a few dollars for your family. Most cleaners charge $10-$15 dollars an hour and require a contract. If you know someone who is needing just a service every now and then why not offer your services! To expand you can offer to run errands, bill paying, yard cleanup etc. Once you have a plan of what interests you- you can put up flyers at the local grocery store and find the clients who are looking for what you offer. The best part is you can determine what times work best for you!

Have a special skill? Wordworking, handy around the home, love to work on the yard, laundry services? You are only limited by your interests! I know a lady who sells researching family history. Once you find someone who has a need- fill it and watch the extra money help keep your families budget in line!

on 6/15/2008 Also you can do clinical research studies in certian parts of the country. You have to be either healthy OR have a condition they are reserching(like diabetes).They pay you to try a non approved medicine against an approved one (under doctor's supervision). The studies can last from a few days to a few weeks long and some offer outpatient studies(don't have to stay overnight). The studies can pay anywhere from $300-10,000!
