How to Cook Chicken in Filipino style

There are many different ways on how to cook chicken specially in the Philippines. Most Filipinos are very creative when it comes to cooking chicken. I like chicken adobo because it taste really good. It is easy to make and not time consuming.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 kilo chicken
  • 2tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small size onion
  • bay leaves
  • black pepper
  • a pinch of oregano
  • a pinch of basil leaves
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • little water
  • salt to taste
  1. Step 1

    Chop the chicken into desired bite sizes. Put the chopped chicken meat in a bowl and set it aside.

  2. Step 2

    Put the vinegar in to the chop chicken meat and a little water together with all the spices and the soy sauce. Mix them thoroughly.

  3. Step 3

    Put the mixed chicken and spices in a kettle and cook it in moderate fire. When the chicken is almost cook, pour the olive oil into it. Add salt to taste.

  4. Step 4

    Continue cooking on a low fire until the chicken is already cooked.
    Serve hot. It taste very good when it is still hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Chicken taste really good when you cook it with just a little broth left.
  • you can add a little soy sauce and a little water if the broth is almost gone and the meat is not yet cook.
