One of the best ways to get Omega-3 fatty acids in your diet is by eating salmon. Omega-3 fatty acids protect you from a variety of health problems including: heart attack, stroke, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. Freezing salmon or deep-frying it destroy some of the essential nutrients. Broiling is a great way to prepare a healthy meal of salmon!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 salmon steaks
  • 1/4 Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 T Dijon Mustard
  • dash Tabasco Sauce
  • Shallow Glass Pan
  • Broiler Pan
  • Tin Foil
  • Oven
  1. Step 1

In a shallow glass pan, combine sauces, mustard and salt and pepper to suit your taste.

  2. Step 2

Set the salmon steaks in the mixture turning them to ensure they are coated. Let sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Set the oven rack a 3 or 4 inches above the bottom element. Line the broiler pan with tin foil.

  4. Step 4

After the salmon has been in the sauce for 15 minutes, remove from sauce and place the salmon on the broiler pan. Place the pan on the rack you've prepared in the oven. Broil for 3-5 minutes with electric oven door partially open.

  5. Step 5

Remove broiler pan from oven. Turn salmon steaks and coat other side with remaining sauce. Continue to broil until the thickest part of the salmon steak is done. (Cut to test. The salmon should flake apart easily.)
