This quick and easy method works every time for my household. Especially for the tough messes that have baked on in your microwave, yuck! Try these steps and have this hard messy job become a breeze.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Sponge
  • 50/50 bleach and water mix in a spray bottle
  • Heat

Step1
I like to clean all of the large loose bits out of my microwave first before I tackle the tough stuff.
Step2
Once that is done, I take my 50/50 bleach and water spray bottle solution and spray the interior of the microwave down to get the really tough bits moist.
Step3
Then I set in a wet sponge on the turn tray and turn on the microwave for one minute on normal heat. Don't do it longer or your will have a mess on your hands.
Step4
Once the time is up, open the microwave and then gently wipe down the microwave. Since all of the tough bits have been loosened and it will be a breeze to clean.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a fresh smell put half a lemon in the microwave and heat for a minute.
