Step1
Think hard. In all the possibilities in the world, you are only looking for a few things to do that you might actually enjoy. You want money, you don't want to hate yourself or your life for the way you make it. So, why not come up with your own, one of a kind, brilliant beyond all cognitive capacity plan? Come up with something you've never seen anybody else do. It isn't as hard as you think, there are plenty of things people haven't done, you just don't know about them because nobody has every done them.
Step2
In almost every brainstorming case, people come up with the idea to start their own business. That is just peachy, I'm sure nobody has ever thought to just start their own business and they will have a great retirement and still be their own boss. How original (think bakeries, flower shops, Mom and Pop diners). Yup, sure enough nobody has ever thought about these things... This isn't to say starting your own business is a bad idea. What kind of business can you run that you don't see anybody else even trying to do? Seriously, think of something nobody else has, and you are already on your way to making money without any decision of a traditional path, (i.e. firefighter, police officer, teacher, banker, engineer, etc.) That isn't to say these are bad careers, or unimportant ones. But nobody can ever logically make the argument that these careers aren't traditional.
Step3
Now that you have concocted a most extraordinary, meaningful, change the world plan to make your own way in this extremely harsh world, then think how much it costs. Does it take a lot of money? Does it take a lot of time? Does it take a lot of hard labor? Does it take more than one person? Does it need a lot of new customers? Does it need a lot of repeat customers? Does it take a lot of technology? Does it require equipment? Does it require a vehicle? Does it require advertising? Does it require donations? If yes to any of these questions, trust me somebody else has thought of it before. Thats ok though, just because someone else has thought of it before you doesn't mean they took any necessary measures to implement their most glorious plan. That is why initiative is imperative in this process.
Step4
Think really hard why this plan would, could, and should work. Then think much harder at why it shouldn't, couldn't, and wouldn't work.
Step5
Consult resources. If you aren't smart enough to use every asset you possess to your absolute monetary advantage, there just might not be any hope for you at all.
Step6
Talk to somebody that has bad luck, can't make things work, but you think is one of the smartest people out there. The wandering homeless person knows a lot more about life than you might think!
Step7
Now that we have all the imaginary hoo ha taken care of, it is recommended that you stay true to your principles. There is no need to exploit people.
Kindly asking for needed help is perfectly fine, why you would take advantage or rip off somebody for no other reason than just to have money isn't original at all.
Step8
Find a wonderful place to put things together. It takes a lot of brain power to really make things work, so stop using 10% of your brain and start using 11%. That little extra could make a big difference.
Step9
Be confident. You need to be self motivated to a large extent to make it work in the first place, and you should be confident enough in your own ability to think and reason that setting up the right system shouldn't be any problem at all for you, after all you are an incredibly intelligent person right?
Step10
Don't forget to tell people. Let everybody know just how brilliant you are. Don't pass on any secrets of the trade, but tell everybody in any way shape of form, except spamming (email, signs, fliers, mail), because that is unnecessary and a waste of materials.
Step11
Considering how awsome you should be after accomplishing these previous steps, you should now consider if what you're thinking about is even worth the time. It may be brilliant, but if you get stuck on the steps about why it shouldn't, couldn't, and wouldn't work, then you may need to scrap the idea.
Step12
Humans have incredibly complex brains and nervous systems that enable them to do more than any other creature on the planet. This means that one bad idea isn't the end of anything, in that massive brain of yours there are endless possibilities.
Step13
Being that you don't necessarily have to be completely original in your idea, however recommended it is, you need to make sure you listen to yourself when reasoning about these things. Friends, relatives, other loved ones have only the best wishes for you, but nobody understands you better than you.
Step14
You need lots of luck. Hope you have a lucky ring, shoe, hat, glove, shirt, whatever, because original ideas aren't always accepted. There is a fine line between absolutely brilliant, revolutionary, extraordinary, and absolutely ridiculous, obscene, and disgraceful. I hope you can discover this line for yourself before somebody else points it out to you.
Step15
Now, go be awsome, you already have the capacity, now it takes some actually thinking... Oh no!!!
