Broiled Salmon is one of the healthiest and best tasting dishes when prepared properly. It's easy to fix, but the timing has to be perfect. Here's how I do it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper or
  • Lemon pepper
  1. Step 1

Cut large fish fillets into serving sized pieces. Sprinkle both sides of fish with lemon pepper or salt and pepper and place skin side up on the broiler pan.

  2. Step 2

Brush the fish with a tablespoon of melted margarine and set oven control to broil or 550 degrees.

  3. Step 3

Broil with the top 3 inches from the heat for about 5 minutes, or until lightly browned.

  4. Step 4

Brush fish with another tablespoon of butter, turn, and brush the other side with a tablespoon of butter.

  5. Step 5

Broil another 5-8 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
  • Another tasty way to prepare the salmon is to substitute 1/4 cup Italian dressing for the butter and omit the salt and pepper.
  • Don't overcook! Stay in the kitchen and check fish frequently.
