Do your hard boiled eggs come out runny or overcooked?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • saucepan, water, 4-6 eggs.
Step1
Place eggs in saucepan and cover with cold water, at least 1 inch above the eggs; rapidly bring to boiling.
Step2
When the water boils, reduce heat to keep water just below simmering. Cover and cook eggs for 15 minutes. Cool immediately by running cold water in the saucepan in the sink until you can handle them. This prevents the yolks from getting dark.
Step3
To shell the eggs, crack shell all over, then gently roll between palms of hands to loosen. Start to peel from large end.

Tips & Warnings

  • 20 minutes may be the needed cooking time if you have a large number of eggs.
