Simplify your Finances!
Simplify your Finances!

Are you overloaded with choices about handling your finances? Do you learn for a simpler, easier financial life? Just follow these easy steps to a saner financial life!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Information on all your bills
  1. Step 1

Pay all of your bills on the internet. This eliminates, stamps, envelopes and delays. I can pay all of my bills and check my balances thru my online banking site. Use direct deposit for your paycheck and have your savings automatically taken out of your paycheck.

  2. Step 2

Combine everything you can. I combined my telephone, internet and cable into one bill and SAVED 50.00. Combine your insurances also. I receive a discount for having my house, rental house, and 3 cars with the same company. This simple act alone saves money.

  3. Step 3

Get rid of every credit card but one! If you are really serious, only have a debit card--this eliminates so many bills and bill paying. Plus you spend less. Cut up the cards, do not cancel them.

  4. Step 4

Use Cash! You can't spend more than you have and you will save money! Paying with cash HURTS! Somehow our brains don't register pain when you pay with a credit card!

Tips & Warnings
  • KISS--Keep it simple, Stupid
  • Eliminate too many choices--in banks, investing, insurance, etc.
  • Have a set place for your bills and pay them all at one time!
