If you would like to be on Deal or No Deal and they open a casting call in your area, I would recommend that you go. If nothing else, it's an experience.
Find out if there is a local casting call for Deal or No Deal in your area. ***You may also send a video for consideration if you do not have a casting call in your area, there is a link at the end of the article.****
Step2
The day before the casting call - pack up your goody bag. Include some snacks, drinks, a CHARGED cell phone, iPod/radio, gum, a book, pen, paper, ca$h. IF you are going before the line opens, take a lawn chair or blanket. Wear comfortable shoes. **Check the weather forecast, get the most current information.***
Step3
Show up in line. Smile, be friendly. If you take a friend you've got a bathroom line holder/snack getter - if not, be nice to the folks around you.
Step4
Be prepared to wait. I showed up at 11am and was seen at 4pm. I did not take a chair and I was glad - becusue the line moved consistently (for the most part) They will give you a chance to fill out the one page application and waiver at the location.
Step5
Once we got inside (ours was at a mall) things moved quickly. In Winston Salem we moved into lines of 10 (they are very organized) they will send your grouping to a table with a producer - and we had 20 seconds to say WHY we would be good on Deal Or NO Deal. You had to include your name and age. Make it funny or engaging, tell and embarassing story and have some energy. [They cannot see your shoes, that is why I recommend comfortable shoes!!]
Step6
If the producers are interested in you, you will move to another line to do the same thing again.
Tips & Warnings
Check the weather. In Winston Salem it was 73 degrees on Friday, by Saturday it was 48 degrees. People were dressed way under dressed.
It is good to have a friend to stand with you to allow you to take bathroom breaks, walk around, get some food, check out the action indoors, talk to. I went alone but stood by some wonderful folks.
DON'T be discouraged if you don't go forward in the next line. They will have your application on file.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Don't take a chair if you are getting in line once the line has started moving, it moves fairly quickly. (There was a spell of standing still, rumor mill was they were on a lunch break)
I took a rolling cart so I could carry my goody bag. It was helpful and easy to manuever.
Be prepared for changes in weather.
They do NOT want to hear how much you love the show, Howie, the models. Your 20 seconds is to be all about YOU!!
Practice your 20 second interview with someone who is a good critic. They have a stopwatch and will time you. See if you can do it in 10 seconds, if they run short on time and long on contestants they may cut interview time to 10 seconds.

Great information. In applying for The Biggest Loser show, it was difficult to find people to share first hand experiences of open casting call auditions. 5 stars!

Wow sounds like speed dating with the possiblity of cash...LOL. My son loves this show, screaming at the TV when he wants them to stop. Not sure he would let me play on my own if I made it in:)
