This is one of the toughest hurtles in most of our lives. Sometimes the hurts are caused by others or other things (beyond our control) and many times they are self inflicted or self imposed.
Be HONEST with yourself – Are you being too sensitive (immature)? Use a mirror to see if the situation is a reflection of something you’ve said/done or assumed but don’t have confirmed knowledge of
Step2
Let go of PETTY STUFF! – Is it worth the struggle? It’s usually a waist of time and can lead to bigger unnecessary failed relationship issues
Step3
PRAY & THINK before you speak – Don’t go in with any agenda/plan other than to forgive (not to explain, to defend or to give your side)
Step4
Be quick to genuinely APOLIGIZE - Even when it hurts (the pain is temporary)
Step5
FORGIVE – not only others but yourself as well – Guilt is a killer and will destroy your health (literally). You suffer more than the one you are wanting to hurt
Step6
Seek PEACE – It’s so good to know that you don’t have to be perfect but don’t have to be defensive either
Tips & Warnings
It’s less painful when you apologize right away because it relieves your stress and puts the weight of ownership on the other person to forgive
Forgive yourself and move on – Satan would love for you to get caught up in a self-pity existence (Fight depression/oppression/self loathing)
An old adage: Don’t point fingers, because while the one finger is pointing at someone else, there are three pointing back at you
God will forgive only those who have forgiven (so consider the opposite)

Excellent. I found that forgiving set me free. Even if I didn't say anything to the person I was forgiving, and sometimes I couldn't because they are dead, it helped me. Praise God.
