The handkerchief originated in the 1st century B.C. They were referred to as perspiration or mouth cloths, the sudarium or napkyn. The handkerchief was also used by the Romans. They wore two: one tied around left wrist and the other one tied around the neck or tucked in at waist. There’s such an assortment of colors and sizes to choose from your options are virtually limitless.
