Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- The desire to be more confident
Step1
Don't worry about being "perfect." Perfectionism and excellence are not the same thing. Worrying about embarrassment over any minor mistake can keep you from taking good opportunities that can challenge you and help you grow as a person.
Step2
Don't fear failures. In school we're often taught that failure is a horrible thing that should be avoided. In reality, failure is a way to learn. It's often not the most fun way to learn, but if you study successful people you'll find that they fail more than the average person. This is how they find success.
Step3
Learn how to develop a positive attitude. Two people can have the same exact skills and abilities, but attitude will set them apart in how far they get in life. This isn't an overnight process but something you have to do over time.
Step4
Count your blessings. We've all had times when we're harder on ourselves than we really should be. Sometimes it takes setting down and assessing the good in our lives to appreciate what we really have and what we have to offer.
Step5
Grow a little each day. Dramatic changes in life are few and far between, but it is amazing when you look back over the course of a year or two when you're making small daily changes to improve your life. Daily habits and attitudes do matter.
