Consuming salmon is considered to be reasonably healthy due to the fish's high protein, high Omega-3 fatty acids, and high vitamin D content, but it is up for discussion on the different ways to actually cook this popular fish. I hope you enjoy this simple recipe.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Salmon
  • Butter or Herb butter
  • Baking tray
  • Foil
  • Vegetable Oil Spray
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Rosemary for garnish

Step1
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a baking tray with foil and spray with vegetable oil spray.
Step2
Wash salmon and pat dry. Prepare the salmon by basting with butter or the herb butter 2 or 3 times, salt and pepper to taste (optional).
Step3
Place salmon in oven allowing 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
Step4
Turn salmon half way through cooking.
Step5
Plate salmon and enjoy! You can use additional butter/herb butter as a sauce over the salmon. Garnish with fresh rosemary, if you like.

Tips & Warnings

  • Broil salmon steaks or fillets about 4 inches from heat, allowing about 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
  • Substitute Butter for your favorite sauce (Honey Glaze, Teriyaki,Lemon Butter, etc.)
