Pool is most associated with bars and pool halls, portrayed in movies as places to do "business" and that of shady businessmen. It is now a recognized sport and champions are made on skill of the game and performing trick shots.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set up to perform the "Three Go Down" trick. This is a trick that will get you some recognition at the local pool hall or with people you are trying to impress. This trick shot uses three of the colored balls (it doesn't matter which ones) and the cue ball. Place two of the balls next to each other against one of the short rails. Place the eight ball on top of the rail, resting against the two balls.

  2. Step 2

Announce the object of the trick. This is to strike the cue ball in a way that hits the eight ball without touching either of the other two calls. To make the trick more exciting, consider having a couple of friends "attempt" to hit the eight ball and miss. Line up the pool stick to aim at just below the eight ball.

  3. Step 3

Send the cue ball down the table with a slow, steady hit. This will give you time to remove your bridge hand from the cue and slap the table twice with this hand. The vibration will cause the two color balls to separate and the eight ball to drop making it easy for the cue ball to hit cleanly.

  4. Step 4

Practice this move a few times before doing it in front of a crowd. It is more a trick of humor rather than skill, but still a good trick to use to impress others with your pool wit.
