Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Place your left hand on the pole above your head. Keep your left hand in this position the entire time you complete the attitude to help move your entire body around the pole. Maintain a loose grip on the pole so you can move easily.
Step2
Walk around the pole for one complete rotation. As you come back around to the spot on the pole where you started, place your right hand on the pole under your left hand and bring your right foot in towards the base of the pole so that your toes are facing the pole.
Step3
Lift your left leg up and out at a right angle to your body. This is called an "arabesque" pose in ballet.
Step4
Bend your elevated left leg back behind you. This is the beginning of turning the arabesque pose into the attitude pose.
Step5
Push off with your right foot at the same time that you are bending your left leg back behind you into the attitude pose. Push with your whole body to give yourself momentum.
Step6
Swing yourself around the pole with both legs in the attitude pose behind you. Keep your left leg back behind you hold in the attitude pose and bend your right leg into an attitude position after you have pushed off the pole.
Step7
Bring yourself gently to the ground as you reach your original starting point on the pole after you have completed a full rotation around it. Come to rest on the ground at the base of the pole with both legs still in the attitude position.
