Deep cleansing masks absorb deep into pores to clean out oils and dirt. The masks leave skin feeling fresh and new. For people with sensitive skin, homemade facial masks are the best way to get a deep clean, because they are all-natural products.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small bowl
  • Geranium essential oil
  • Lavender essential oil
  • Lemon essential oil or lemon juice
  • 6 tsp. hot water
  • Powdered clay
  • Mixing spoon
  • Sponge
  • Damp cloth
  1. Step 1

Purchase your ingredients. All the ingredients in this mask are available at health food and organic stores. The essential oils must be all-natural and the clay must be powdered.

  2. Step 2

Add the essential oils together in a bowl. Add 2 drops of geranium and lavender with one drop of lemon. Most bottles of essential oils come with droppers. If your oil does not have a dropper, purchase one at the heath food store.

  3. Step 3

Stir in the hot water. Use very hot tap water or heat water up in the microwave.

  4. Step 4

Mix in the clay one spoonful at a time until the mask is thick. Usually 3 to 4 spoonfuls makes a good consistency. Mix each spoonful well with the other ingredients.

  5. Step 5

Spoon a small amount onto the sponge and rub it onto your face. Continue until your face is covered with the deep cleansing mask. Cover your face up to your hair line and onto the neck.

  6. Step 6

Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water and a damp cloth.
