Balloon modeling may seem difficult, but it is not as tricky as it looks. A fun way to pass the time for adults and children alike, with the right techniques and a little creativity you can begin to create your own balloon animals today. The three bubble roll through is a fantastic trick that can be used in a variety of animal forms.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Blow up a long balloon, leaving some uninflated space at the end. As you further your practice in balloon modeling, you will have a better idea how much room to leave at the end of each balloon depending on the animal you are creating. Animals which require more twists will require more empty space at the end of the balloon.

  2. Step 2

Squeeze the balloon about 1 inch from the knotted end and then twist to form a bubble. Additionally, you will learn how many times to twist the balloon so that your bubbles stay in place without breaking the balloon. Practice makes perfect.

  3. Step 3

Pinch and twist once again about 4 inches below the small bubble and then fold the long portion of the balloon over. Pinch and twist the long portion where it meets the base of your 4-inch bubble and then twist the two together. Look at the loop you have created and think of all of the animals you could create with it. Bunny ears or character feet are just two examples.

  4. Step 4

Press the two 4-inch bubbles down so that the lay flat on top of the excess balloon, and then squeeze and twist the excess balloon so that it is even with the base of the 4-inch bubbles. Very carefully push the final 4-inch balloon bubble through the center of the first two to hold it in place.

  5. Step 5

Use this three bubble roll through technique to create animal bodies, heads or use your creativity to come up with a world of your own balloon sculpting ideas.
