Things You'll Need:
- Food coloring
- White frosting
- Shredded coconut
- Cookie sheet
- Vanilla wafers
- Mint-flavored chocolate wafers (like Thin Mints)
- Cherries
- Sesame seeds
-
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Step 2
Spoon white frosting into two small cups. Add a few drops of red food coloring to one and yellow to the other. Mix the frosting well and set aside.
-
Step 3
Mix green food coloring with a few drops of water in a container with a cover. Pour coconut to the container. Cover the container and shake it until the coconut is a pale green.
-
Step 4
Lay out vanilla wafers with the flat side facing up on a cookie sheet. Place a mint-flavored chocolate wafer on top of each vanilla wafer.
-
Step 5
Put the cookie sheet in the oven just until the chocolate starts to get soft.
-
Step 6
Remove the cookie sheet. Sprinkle coconut "lettuce" on top of each mint. Add the red "ketchup" and yellow "mustard" frosting. Slice up cherries to use as tomato slices and place on top, if desired.
-
Step 7
Place another vanilla wafer on top of the condiments with the flat side down. Moisten the top of the wafer with water. Place sesame seeds on top.

on 9/15/2008 These are wonderful and you will be the hit of the party. The only things that I would change is use honey melted in the micro and brushed on top and sprinkle with seasame seeds, and forget the cherries and make red food coloring instead for ketchup. I like to use Wilton food coloring the colors are more intense and you can pick it up at Michaels.

on 9/15/2008 These are the Greatest to take to a party. You will be the hit! The only thing that I have changed with mine is, instead of moisting the top with water I melt honey for a few second in the micro and brush the top cookie with it. The seasame seeds stik beautifully. And instead of the cherries, I make red frosting for ketchup. I also like Wilton food coloring the best, it is more intense. You can get Wilton products at Michael's.
