Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of cards
  1. Step 1

Choose a card to mark the deck to find the audience member's card. For this example, let’s use the Queen of Diamonds.

  2. Step 2

Make sure that the Queen of Diamonds is the very last card at the bottom of the deck when you start this magic trick.

  3. Step 3

Do a “Hindu Shuffle” with the deck, which is an illusion used to make it look like you are shuffling the deck, when in fact you are not changing the order of the cards at all. Take half of the cards in each hand and quickly move them from your right hand to your left hand for this illusion.

  4. Step 4

Fan out the cards and have the audience member choose a card from among them and remove it from the deck without showing you.

  5. Step 5

Split the deck in half and have the audience member lay their card face down on the top half of the deck.

  6. Step 6

Lay the bottom portion of the cut deck on top of the audience member's card. The Queen of Diamonds, which was at the bottom of the deck, will now be directly on top of the audience member's chosen card.

  7. Step 7

Thumb through the cards and pick out the card that the audience member chose. This will be the card directly behind the Queen of Diamonds.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you can’t do the Hindu Shuffle, have the audience member choose a card from the deck, then place the half of the cards with the Queen of Diamonds on the bottom on top of the card the audience member has chosen so you can find his card.
