How to Post a YouTube Video on Facebook

YouTube and Facebook have become popular online destinations for sharing information and connecting with others, so it's no surprise that the two sites are compatible. If you have a Facebook account and a YouTube video in mind, you can easily post a YouTube video on Facebook for all of your friends to see, or just one selected friend.

Share a YouTube Video With Your Facebook Friends

1. Highlight the link in the address bar of the YouTube video. Hit "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard at the same time to copy the link.

2. Open your Facebook home page. Click on "Posted Items" on the left bar.

3. Go to the blank box under "Post a Link." Hit "Ctrl" and "V" on your keyboard at the same time to paste the link, and then hit "Post."

4. Write a comment in the blank "Comment" box if you want to include your thoughts on the video, then hit "Post."

Share a YouTube Video With One Facebook Friend

5. Highlight the link in the address bar of the YouTube video. Hit "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard at the same time to copy the link.

6. Open the Facebook page of the person you want to share the YouTube video with. Scroll down until you reach their wall.

7. Click on the "Share Link" button under the blank box where you'd usually write a wall message. Hit "Ctrl" and "V" on your keyboard at the same time to paste the link, and then hit "Post."

Tips & Warnings

• Some other video sites, such as CollegeHumor, make posting a video to Facebook more convenient by including a Facebook logo under the video. If you are already logged in to your Facebook account, just click on the Facebook logo and hit "Post" to share the video with all of your friends.
