Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Look for a substitute. There are so many other portable digital music players that it is easy to find a musical replacement for your iPod. ScanDisk's Sansa Fuze, iRiver's Clix and Creative Zen's V Plus all provide functionality similar to the Apple's iPod. Use your favorite search engine and search for "portable digital music players."
Step2
Read a book. This may sound strange and alien, but back in the old days before iPods were around, people read books.
Step3
Engage in team sports. Call a few friends for a game of basketball, touch football or soccer. You choose the sport, just get out and start playing. You'll be amazed how a rousing game of stickball will make you forget all about your iPod.
Step4
Watch a movie with your family. Rather than walking around with earphones stuck in your ears, put the iPod away and watch a movie with your family. It doesn't matter if it's a family night out at the movies or an at-home DVD rental and popcorn. Either way, it's life without an iPod.
Step5
Enjoy the sounds of nature. Find a quiet and serene place. Get a comfortable chair, blanket or pillow, sit quietly, relax and listen to the sounds of nature.
