How to Make Chocolate Fondue in the Microwave
A fondue party is a terrific opportunity for friends to get together for an evening of visiting and laughter. Put a pot of warm creamy chocolate fondue in the middle of the table with some delicious dipping materials and let everybody share in the fun. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Heavy cream
- Sugar
- Butter
- Bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- Cabernet sauvignon
- Pound cake, cubed
- Fresh strawberries
- Biscotti
- Fondue pot with flame
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Butterscotch syrup

Chocolate Fondue

Combine the heavy cream, sugar, butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture for 2 minutes.

Remove the fondue from the microwave and whisk it quickly. Add the Cabernet Sauvignon and whisk it again.

Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot and keep it hot with a flame underneath.

Put the cubed pound cake, fresh strawberries and biscotti on a plate and serve it for dipping with the hot fondue.

Place the chocolate chips, butterscotch syrup and sweetened condensed milk in a microwave safe bowl and heat the mixture on high for 25 to 30 seconds. Add a few more seconds of cooking time, if necessary.

Remove the fondue from the microwave and stir it until it becomes smooth and creamy.

Serve the chocolate fondue in a fondue pot with a flame. On the side, serve dippers such as fresh bananas or strawberries, cheese or toast.
