One of the quickest and easiest ways to a girl’s heart is to make her laugh and smile. Combine funny dialogue, subtle jokes and witty one-liners to showcase your sense of humor and completely charm the girl you hope to date.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Tell embarrassing stories about your childhood, humorous mistakes you’ve made or a mishap that occurred this morning. A self-deprecating sense of humor can be charming as long as it’s not overdone. You don’t want to undercut her good impression of you.

  2. Step 2

Pay close attention to the conversation to find appropriate spots for comical one-liners. Familiarize yourself with her favorite topics, television shows, hobbies, movies and books so you’ll be able to use references that will make her laugh.

  3. Step 3

Borrow someone else’s jokes when appropriate. Quote memorable routines from late-night talk shows, humorous dialogue from a movie or a bit from a stand-up act, for instance. Acknowledge where you got the material so she doesn’t think you’re trying to take credit for it.

  4. Step 4

Make playful observations as you people watch. Discuss what you assume they’re thinking, planning to do or do for a living. Keep the comments harmless, however, so the girl doesn’t think you’re simply being mean.

  5. Step 5

Perfect your timing and delivery. Discover when to make witty comments and when to be serious. If you’re “on” all the time, it will seem like you’re trying too hard (which is a definite turn off). It’s time to stop clowning around when her laughter sounds forced.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don’t rely on playful insults, sarcastic comments or off-color jokes until you get to know the girl better. What one might find funny another might consider insulting or hurtful.
