African greys and Amazons often live longer than 50 years, while the brilliant macaw's life often exceeds 60. Parrots love baked goods and are well served by eating specially made goodies with no preservatives and a high nutritional value.

  • Flour
  • Yellow corn meal
  • Salt
  • Baking powder
  • Petamine
  • Bag o' Bugs
  • Milk
  • Vegetable oil
  • Eggs
  • Mixed frozen vegetables
  • Frozen broccoli
  • Whole wheat flour
  • Yellow corn meal
  • Baking powder
  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Cooking oil
  • Buttermilk

Parrot Bread Recipe I

Step1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
Step2
Drop the eggs, shell and all, into the blend. Put the lid in place and turn the blend on "high" and pulverize the eggs.
Step3
Thaw the vegetables. Chop the broccoli and veggies to small mince.
Step4
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in the eggs, milk, oil and minced veggies.
Step5
Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until an inserted tester comes out clean.
Step6
Cool the bread. Cut into small squares and store in re-sealable plastic bags.

Parrot Bread Recipe II

Step1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Step2
Measure the dry ingredients and combine them in a medium bowl. Wash the eggs in the shell. Drop the eggs, shell and all, into the blender and process on high until pulverized.
Step3
Mix the oil and buttermilk in a large bowl. Add the pulverized eggs. Stir in the dry ingredients until well blended. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Step4
Bake for 30 minutes. Cool, cut into small squares and freeze.
Step5
Vary the recipe by adding chopped fruit, nuts, peppers or raisins. Add the extras to the batter before pouring it into the baking pan.
