How to Make Onion Dip

Onion-flavored dip is a snap to make, and a great recipe to make with kids. It can be as simple as adding onion soup to sour cream, or you can make a baked version that incorporates cream cheese or shredded cheese for added flavor.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baking dish
  • Onions
  • Cream cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Mixing bowl
  1. Step 1

    Spray your baking dish with a non-stick spray.

  2. Step 2

    Put your shredded cheese or cream cheese into your mixing bowl along with onion and mayonnaise. Stir the ingredients until they're well blended.

  3. Step 3

    Pour everything into your baking dish and add the Parmesan cheese over the top.

  4. Step 4

    Bake until the cheese is melted and the top is lightly browned.

  5. Step 5

    Serve either hot or cold.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a simple dip that kids can make, add a package of onion soup mix to 8 oz. of sour cream or cream cheese and stir well.
