How to Make Jam Tarts
It doesn't matter if the jam is tart and tangy, or if it's sweet and gooey, jam tarts with their flaky, crusty coverings will make your mouth water. They're versatile enough to be a special occasion delicacy, or a great dessert for a family dinner. Does this Spark an idea?

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the butter, sugar, egg, flour and baking powder in a large mixing bowl and mix it with a pastry blender or fork.

Separate the dough into four sections. Press one section into the bottom of a 8 or 9-inch cake pan, extending the dough about ½ inch up the sides of the pan. Spread jam evenly over the dough.

Put the second section of dough on a lightly floured surface, roll it thinly and cut it into strips. Cover the jam with strips of dough in a criss-cross fashion.

Make a second jam tart with the remaining two sections of dough.

Place the jam tarts on the middle rack of the oven and bake them for 25 minutes.

Allow the jam tarts to cool on a wire rack, and sprinkle powdered sugar over the tops of the tarts. Cut the jam tarts into pie-shaped wedges and serve.

Any flavor of jam will be delicious in jam tarts.
Baked jam tarts freeze well, and can easily be made ahead of time.

Am I missing something? Is there somewhere where you state HOW MUCH flour, sugar, etc?
