Bracelets are fun to make as well as to wear. There is no end to the ways you can make a bracelet. Whether you simple tie embroidery floss strands together in knots or string beads on monofilament fishing line, a bracelet can be as unique as you are. This bracelet combines both beadwork and wire to form a sturdy bracelet.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 ½ foot of 21 round hard wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Round-nose pliers
  • Masking tape
  • Jewelry clasp
  • O-ring
  • 11 4 or 6 mm beads
  • 22 small beads
Step1
Cut 11 pieces of 21 round hard wire into 1¼-inch lengths with the wire cutters. If your wrist is slightly larger than normal, you can cut the lengths slightly longer.
Step2
Make a loop in one end of the wire with the round nose pliers. To make all the other loops the same size, mark the end of the round-nose pliers with a small piece of masking tape.
Step3
Pull the loop you made in Step 2 slightly backwards. This should center it above the wire.
Step4
Thread a small bead onto the wire. Follow it with a larger bead. Put another of the small beads on the wire.
Step5
Bend the wire after the last bead. Use the wire cutters to cut off all of the wire that remains except a 3/8-inch piece. Form that remaining piece of wire into a loop centered over the wire.
Step6
Repeat Steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 until all 11 pieces of wire are beaded. Use the masking tape marker to make sure the loops are all the same on each piece of hard wire.
Step7
Open a loop on each end of the pieces enough to link with another bead set. Close the loop securely.
Step8
Attach a jewelry clasp to one end of the bracelet. Put an O-ring on the other end. Slip on your new bracelet and enjoy it.
