Step 1
Open your webpage editor. It doesn't really matter what software you use or if you use an online editor. The important thing is that you can insert code into the body of your page.
-
Step 2
Copy this code into your webpage where you want the Digg counter to appear: . This will place a Digg button on your page with a submit option and will serve as a counter when the page gets submitted to Digg.
-
Step 3
Use this code if you want the Digg counter to use a different URL than the one of the page the counter is going on:
. Replace the "WEBSITE_URL" with the URL you wish to use for the counter. This is good for blog entries or other times when the main content is on another site. -
Step 4
Publish your page and try out your new Digg counter. Try submitting your page to Digg via the Digg counter. After you try to submit it, check Digg's website to see if it appears there. Also check to see if it is keeping count of how many Diggs your page has.
-
Step 5
Check out the tools section on Digg's website for some more tools you can use to integrate Digg into your website. There is a compact version of the Digg counter you can use for a less obtrusive look. You can also edit the look of your Digg counter, explained on the Digg tools page.
