Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stretch and warm up before each game or practice session. It is imperative that your muscles be warm and limber before taking part in any sport. Do mild aerobic excercises for five to ten minutes, and then hold a series of stretches for 30 seconds a piece.

  2. Step 2

Keep a first aid kit handy, and brush up on all of the latest treatments for minor cuts, bruises and strains.

  3. Step 3

Have an emergency plan in place for major injuries while playing and practicing baseball. Fractures and broken bones are the most worrisome of the common injuries in baseball, and permenant damage can be minimized with immediate medical help.

  4. Step 4

Dress in the most appropriate clothing and safety gear to prevent common baseball injuries. Make sure everything fits you properly, wear all protective gear correctly and always wear your helmet when not in the dug out.

  5. Step 5

Use the right technique for batting and pitching. Make sure you and your fellow teammates are pitching and hitting minimally in every game and practice. Some baseball injuries can have long term effects when the player is over used in one particular area of the game.

  6. Step 6

Implement break-away bases instead of the stationary type. This drastically reduces the risk of injury when players are sliding into the bases.
