Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lacrosse stick
  • Lacrosse ball
  1. Step 1

Get the ball into your lacrosse stick by catching a pass from a teammate or scooping it off the ground. Make sure you have full control of the ball with your stick.

  2. Step 2

Approach the goal from a good scoring angle. Keep your eye on the goalie and find an opening through which to shoot the ball.

  3. Step 3

Cradle the ball with force so it's deep in the lacrosse stick's netting. This enables you to do a wind-up without the ball falling out of the net.

  4. Step 4

Extend your shoulder back so that your lacrosse stick is cocked into an exaggerated shooting position. Perform this technique much like a baseball pitcher leans back during his wind-up.

  5. Step 5

Whip the head of your lacrosse stick forward and stop when it's aimed at the opening you spotted earlier to complete the crank shot. The ball will rocket past the goalie and you'll score a goal.

Tips & Warnings
  • Swing your stick forward in a sidearm motion to confuse the goalie.
  • Opposing players will take advantage of your extended swing by trying to strike your lacrosse stick with theirs.
  • The ball will fall out of your netting if you haven't cradled the ball deeply.
