Putting a pillow inside a pillowcase is a skill that every bedmaker should know. By gripping the pillow beneath your chin, you free up your hands to tug the pillow case over the bottom of the pillow and up the body. A few shakes will seat the pillow in the case and plump it up as well.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold the pillow at one end and place it beneath your chin. Your chin should be in the center of the pillow to prevent the pillow from tipping and swaying.

  2. Step 2

Grasp the pillowcase at the open end with one hand on each side to hold it open.

  3. Step 3

Tuck the end of the pillow furthest away from you inside the opening of the pillow case.

  4. Step 4

Use your hands to maneuver the pillow case up the pillow as far as you can.

  5. Step 5

Lift your chin when the pillow is far enough inside the case to not fall out when you let go.

  6. Step 6

Shake the pillow case briskly up and down to jiggle the pillow into the pillow case.

  7. Step 7

Straighten the pillow inside the pillowcase by grabbing the closed corners in your hands and shaking it thoroughly. Smooth and plump your pillows and place them on the bed.
