How to Put on a Hat

A hat makes a fashion statement about the person who wears the hat. Men look and feel different when wearing a top hat or a cowboy hat. Woman take hours and hours trying on different hats just to get that "right" look. Put on your hat, wear it in style and tell the world who you are.

Things You'll Need

• Hat
• Comb
• Brush
• Bobby pins

Instructions

1. Pick out the hat you will wear. Make sure the color, texture and size of the hat you will put on, reflects your mood for the day.

2. Smooth any hair that is out of place. Run the comb or brush through your hair if necessary. Some hats look better with a ponytail or other hair style, so wear your hair accordingly.

3. Turn the hat upside down. Pick up the hat you want to put on with both hands. Grasp the hat from the bottom.

4. Set the hat on top of your head. Look in the mirror. Adjust the hat to the desired place on your head, maybe a little to the left or a little to the right.

5. Place a bobby pin in the hat if it starts to fall off to hold it on your head. Attach the hat directly to your hair with the bobby pin.

6. Comb your hair around the bobby pin so no one can see it.

7. Tie the strings of the hat, if there are strings with it, to secure the hat in place. Wear your hat in style.
