How to Play Squirt

If you are looking for a game to play on a hot summer day, Squirt is just the game. Be prepared to get totally soaked in this game.

Things You'll Need

• 5 to 15 players
• Squirt gun for each player

Instructions

1. Ask participants to form a large circle. Each person needs to know all the names of the players in the game to play the game of Squirt.

2. Choose a member of the group to be the "squirter" and have that person stand in the very center of the circle.

3. Tell the squirter to turn around in the circle with his squirt gun facing the people in the circle. Once the squirter stops, he shouts out the name of the person his squirt gun is pointing at and squirts this person.

4. Turn toward the person who is having his name called out if you are standing on either side of this person in the circle. Shout the person's name and squirt him.

5. Duck, jump or move to the side to avoid the water as it is being squirted towards you.

6. Call one person out of the game. This person will either be the one squirted at if he did not duck or try to avoid the water when his name was called, or one of the two on either side of the one squirted who called his name the slowest, if the one squirted at did duck.

7. Continue playing the game in this manner until two people are left in the circle around the shooter.

8. Stand the two left in the game back to back and do a shoot off. Have the squirter count to three as the two of them take a step forward with each count. After the count of three, the squirter shouts, "Squirt!" as they turn and shout each other's name and shoot each other.

9. Win the game if you are the player who shouts the name of the opponent first.
