Tips & Warnings

  • If your fish fillets have the skin on, cook that side last and only for a few minutes. Fish fillets may curl up when cooked. Push the curling ends down with a spatula.

  • When fish turns translucent, it's done. If you wait until the fish starts to flake, it will be dry and over cooked.

  • A fillet can be dipped in egg and coated with breading before pan frying.

  • The oil gets hot and may splatter. Make sure it doesn't get too hot, and burn your fish.
