If Mother's Day is coming up and you are wondering what to do for your mom, consider making her a Mother's Day breakfast. A special breakfast is a gift from the heart and shows your mother how much you care about her. Follow these steps to make your Mother's Day breakfast a success. Enlist an adult’s help with the preparations, if you need assistance with the shopping or cooking.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Think about the breakfast menu. You will want to pick something that you mother likes, such as French toast, eggs, bagels or pancakes. Make something that is easy enough for you to make but make sure it is something your mother really enjoys eating.

  2. Step 2

Make a list of ingredients so you don't forget anything at the store and shop for everything you need ahead of time.

  3. Step 3

Prepare the Mother's Day breakfast meal. You can do this night before or in the morning, depending on the meal. If you are making a breakfast casserole, for example, consider preparing it the night before. Be sure to allow enough time for you to prepare and cook the meal without you having to rush or feel stressed.

  4. Step 4

Set the table, and arrange the food attractively on the plate. Consider adding a decorative touch such as fruit slices to the plate. Be sure to put out all of the utensils and condiments your mother will need with her meal. Remember the drinks, such as coffee and juice. A flower in a bud vase or a bunch of flowers in a larger vase adds a nice touch to the breakfast table.

  5. Step 5

Bring your mother to the breakfast table and show her what you have done for her special day. Allow her to eat her breakfast.

  6. Step 6

Clean up after your mother has finished her breakfast. You will really make your mother's day if she doesn't have to help with any of the cleanup.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider bringing your mother breakfast in bed instead.
  • If she is a newspaper reader, give your mother the paper with her breakfast.
  • Be sure to give your mother a card or a gift along with her breakfast. She's really love one that you make.
