How to Install Yahoo! Messenger With Voice

Yahoo! Messenger with Voice is a free download provided by Yahoo. There are several versions, and you may want to make sure your computer is capable of running the most current one. Once you've installed Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, you'll have the opportunity to check out the all of the entertainment, communication capabilities and add-ons it has to offer.

Instructions

1. Close all other applications running on your computer, except your Internet browser.

2. Go to the Yahoo website and click on the "Messenger" button on the right side of the page. Click on the button that says "Download Now." This will take you to the download page.

3. Read the instructions on the page, and then click the "Get Started" button. A download page will appear which may give you a choice of saving or running the program. You can save it to your Desktop and install it yourself or click run and let it automatically install and open the installation dialog box.

4. Select the things you want to install. Yahoo! Messenger with Voice downloads Yahoo! Toolbar with Anti-Spy and Pop-Up Blocker and makes Yahoo your default search engine for Internet Explorer. If you use a web browser other than Internet Explorer, you may have to reset your preferences after you download Messenger.

5. Click "Next" and read the installation dialog box when it pops up. Check the box when asked if you accept the License Agreement and Terms. It won't install if you don't check this box.

6. Allow the program to install. At the end of installation, you'll have the opportunity to personalize your Yahoo! Messenger with Voice through the Preferences section.
