Step 1
Examine why you broke up, whether you ended it or he did. Ask yourself if you were treating him poorly in any way. Admit to yourself first that you were wrong if you realize you’d been mean to him, ignored him or made him feel like you didn’t care.
-
Step 2
Find a way to apologize to him if you find you’ve wronged him in some way. You may want to write him a note, so you can get all your thoughts down just the way you’d like.
-
Step 3
Have a friend deliver the note to him, if you can’t do it yourself. Try to have it delivered at a time when his new girlfriend won’t be around, so she won’t realize you’re trying to get this guy back.
-
Step 4
Remind him of the good times you had together, and hint around that you hope they’ll be more of those in the future. Catch his eye when you can, and try to hold his gaze. Be friendly toward him whenever you get the chance, but be careful not to appear desperate.
-
Step 5
Refrain from bad-mouthing your ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend to anyone. This will only make you look bad. It’s better to present yourself to him in a favorable light, and let him figure out for himself that you’re the one he likes more.
