Girls can have a tough time getting dates. They often leave it up to the guy to make the first move without giving him any encouragement. If you want to get a date, you have to learn to be more forward with the guy you like.

1. Work on your appearance. You don't have to look like a supermodel to get a date, but you should take time to groom yourself. Style your hair in the morning, wear a flattering outfit and apply a small amount of makeup.

2. Start talking with your crush. Talk about things you have in common and do your best flirting. Laugh at his jokes, smile often and lean in to him while he's talking.

3. Mention your single status. You may not get a date at first because the guy doesn't know whether you're dating someone or not. Remedy this situation by casually mentioning that you're not seeing anyone.

4. Express an interest to hang out. If you tell the guy you would like to see a movie or go to dinner with him, he'll likely respond by asking you out.

5. Spread a rumor. If you still don't have a date, mention to friends you are interested in a certain guy. It will likely get back to the guy and, if he's interested, he'll ask you out on a date.
