Instructions

    • 1

Fill a balloon with water until it is full. Tie a piece of string at the end to secure it closed. Make sure the string is as close to the ball as possible and that the knot is tight.

    • 2

Take the end of the balloon, just after the string, and cut it off with the scissors. Cut off the ends of all the other balloons.

    • 3

Have someone stretch one of the cut balloons open while you slide the water balloon inside. Turn the balloon and place another cut balloon around your ball.

    • 4

Continue with the remaining balloons making sure that each addition is covering the opening left by the previous balloon. This step will ensure that the entire balloon gets equally covered and your ball remains round. Try to avoid creating wrinkles.

    • 5

Stop wrapping balloons when you are pleased with your ball. Enjoy your new bouncy balloon ball.

Tips & Warnings

  • You want your original water-filled balloon as round as possible so your finished product resembles a ball.

  • Your ball will be stronger and bounce higher if you layer a lot of balloons on it.

  • Throw all the cut pieces of balloon in the garbage. Uninflated and broken balloons are a choking hazard for any child under 8 years of age.
