How to Get Along With a Twin Brother
Having a twin brother is a special situation. It can bring either much happiness or much heartbreak, depending on how the two of you get along. Because twins spend a lot of time together, getting along is a good idea. Here are some things you can do to get along with a twin brother.

1
Have fun with your twin brother. If you are identical, or even look somewhat alike, you can have all kinds of fun. Play tricks on people, go places and do things together.
-
2
Remember your twin is not you. Your likes and dislikes may differ, so don't assume you know exactly what your twin brother wants in life, or that you can read his mind. Don't finish your twin brother's sentences--you might not know what he was going to say.

3
Share with your twin brother. This is a good rule for getting along with anyone, but especially a twin brother, because you are both usually in the same vicinity at the same time.
-
4
Protect your twin brother, but don't be overly protective. If somebody makes rude comments about your brother, be sure to defend him, but let him learn from his mistakes. Don't try to shield him from the consequences of bad behavior.

5
Cherish the special relationship you have as twins. Remember, having a twin is not something everyone gets to experience. Celebrate your birthdays together and always stay in touch. Help your twin brother through tough times.
-
6
Be kind to your twin brother's girlfriend or spouse. If you are on bad terms with your twin's special friend, you can bet you're not going to be seeing as much of your twin.
