How to Make a Blowgun From a Nerf Blaster

Nerf blasters are fun, but they can be transformed into an entirely different form of toy without damaging the original design. With a few simple steps and some tools you have hanging about your house, you can disassemble your Nerf blaster to make a fun blowgun.

Things You’ll Need:

• Screwdriver
• Nerf blaster
• Paper
• Pencil
• Nerf blaster darts

1. Remove all of the screws from the outside casing of your Nerf blaster and gently pull apart the casing. Make sure that you keep track of the screws so that you can reassemble your Nerf blaster later if desired. You may want to draw a diagram of your Nerf blaster and make notes of the screws so that you are sure they go back where they belong.
2. Locate the screws that hold the barren of the Nerf blaster and remove them as well. Again, make notes on your diagram so that you can replace the barrel after you are done playing with your blowgun.
3. Disassemble the barrel one piece at a time, taking note of the order. Set aside all of the pieces except for the last two pieces long cylindrical pieces which should remain together in a long tube. These pieces are obvious, as they are solid pieces which fit together and form the inner barrel of your Nerf blaster.
4. Place a soft Nerf blaster dart into the tube and place your mouth over one end. Blow hard to activate your blowgun. While the darts are very soft, you should still make sure that you do not aim at a person's face, as you can damage their eyes.
