Step1
Go to social networking sites like MySpace and check the pages of artists you know or artists you like. MySpace is a great place to find electronic music, songs are generally right up front at the top of the page. Some are even set to play when you open the page.
Step2
Try music mega-sites like Sub Pop. For years, this Internet phenom has been helping new artists roll out musical compositions online. It's actually an "independent record label" with a big online presence, a valuable source of electronic tunes.
Step3
Look for "Electronic music group sites." These forum sites, like the one at Last FM, include tracks and recommendations from artists, as well as other information about electronic hits.
Step4
Use legal file sharing sites and torrents. There are a whole lot of file sharing technologies out there. Some are legal and some are operating off the radar. Find legal means to share files or "torrents" to get electronic tunes.
Step5
Go to the club. If there's an electronica forum near you, go out at night with a handheld PDA or other device. Ask fans around you if they have recommended tracks you could download from their devices. You can sometimes get good tracks passed down to you at shows.
