The news is constantly reporting people about who are missing. If this hits close to home, officials may ask you if have any knowledge about the missing person or if you can render some help to find the missing person. A common person can do many things to aid officials in finding missing persons.

Instructions

Step1
Supply law enforcement officials with any information you know about the missing person, such as social security number or other identifying information.
Step2
Circulate the most recent picture you have of this person. Get in the habit of taking pictures of your loved ones frequently so if the unthinkable happens you will have a recent photograph.
Step3
Distribute flyers in your neighborhood of the missing person to help find them. Put them on light or phone poles, or hand them out to passers-by in the local mall or shopping center.
Step4
Call the missing person center if you think you have sited this person. You do not have to identify yourself but your tip could find this person.
Step5
Add information about the missing person to a missing person site on the Internet. There are many reputable sites to choose from and the more exposure on this person, the more chance of finding the person.
Step6
Go on the local news if asked and provide information about this person. Make sure you show the recent photograph of this person on television.
Step7
Join a local radio broadcast if possible, to provide information about this person. Use any means possible to get the word out quickly and to as many people as possible.
