How to Complete the Imp Catcher Quest on RuneScape

Imp Catcher is a novice quest that is a great introduction to questing in RuneScape. It doesn’t take any high skill levels to complete, but it gives you some good experience and helps you get to know your way around the RuneScape world.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

1. Go to the Draynor Village and follow the main pathway south. Continue across the bridge until you reach the Wizard’s Tower. Go inside the building.
2. Search the grounds until you find Wizard Mizgog. He has gray hair and a beard and is the only wizard who doesn’t wear a hat. Hover your mouse over him and right click on him. Choose the “Talk to Wizard Mizgog” option.
3. Use all the conversation options and Wizard Mizgog will tell you that an imp has stolen all his colored beads. Accept the assignment to retrieve beads for him.
4. Head over to Falador and find imps near the southern entrance to the city. Kill several imps and retrieve their drops. You have what you need for the quest once you retrieve four beads: black, white, red and yellow.
5. Return to the Wizard’s Tower and talk to Wizard Mizgog. He will take the beads from you and give you your reward.

Tips & Warnings

• Be patient when killing imps. Not all imps will drop beads, so you may have to kill dozens of them before you get all the beads you need.
• If you’re a lower level player, be careful when traveling along the pathway to and from the Wizard’s Tower, as the level 26 jail guards like to attack players they think they can kill. It’s best to run, rather than walk, along that pathway so that if you are attacked, you can get away quickly.
