Add character to your email messages, instant messages, blogs or MySpace account with a smiley from Smiley Central. The toolbar is free and there are over 1,000 smileys available for download. Save up to 10 custom smileys and create new smileys too. You can also get new screen savers, cursors and ecards with Smiley Central.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Navigate to the Smiley Central website, click on "Get Free Smiley's Click Here" button and follow the download instructions to install the Smiley toolbar.
Step2
Log in to your MSN account on the MSN website.
Step3
Write an email with MSN Hotmail or an instant message with MSN Messenger.
Step4
Click the "Smiley Central" button on your toolbar in the upper-right corner. Select a category or type in search criteria.
Step5
Create a custom smiley by clicking on "Custom Smileys" to add text to a bubble or smiley sign and click "Apply." Choose "Custom Smileys" and then "Saved Smileys" to access your saved smileys.
Step6
Select the smiley you want and it appears in your email. If you're sending an instant message, it will appear as code in the window, but once the message is sent it will convert to the smiley.

Tips & Warnings

  • Save up to 10 custom smileys. If you try to save more than 10, MSN will remove the smiley you've used the least frequently.
  • Use a "Hot Smiley" to reflect current and popular smiley trends.

on 4/21/2008 Before you start with Step 1, don't forget to download Smiley Central here first: http://www.pointsincase.com/downloads/free_smileys.htm

They have much cooler-looking, animated smileys and smileys with sound now too.
