Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Black felt
  • White sweatsuit with a hooded top
  • Fabric glue
  • Rope
  • Glove
  • Thread and/or safety pins
  • Socks in black or white (optional)
  • Black and white face makeup (optional)
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Large bell (optional)
  1. Step 1

Start by cutting some wavy cow spots out of the black felt. Make sure they resemble real cow spots and that they are all big and original looking.

  2. Step 2

Buy a white sweatsuit with a hood and get some glue. After you have cut out the black cow spots, glue the back of them and place them all over the white sweatsuit to appear like a real cow. Space them out a bit.

  3. Step 3

Cut out large cow ear shapes in either black or white felt. Glue to the sides of the sweatsuit hoodie top, where the ears would go. Let the spots and ears dry before you start to make the rest of the outfit.

  4. Step 4

Get some rope and cut off a piece for the tail. Unravel one end to look like a cow tail. Alternatively, you could also use the black felt for the tail. Then sew on or attach the cow tail to the rear end of the pants.

  5. Step 5

Blow up a glove and then get some heavy thread to tie the end. The fingers of the glove will look like the udder of the cow costume. Sew the glove into the belly area of the cow costume.

  6. Step 6

Add additional touches. You can wear black and white socks as hooves on your feet and hands. Attach a large bell with some ribbon and wear around your neck as a cowbell. Buy black and white Halloween makeup and paint your face with large black and white spots to match your outfit.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add additional padding to the inside of the sweatsuit to make your 'cow" look more plump.
  • You can sew the patches rather than using glue, if desired.
