A bunny baby basket makes an unusual and adorable baby shower gift. It takes just a few supplies and simple steps to create this gift that any expectant mother can enjoy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bath towels
  • Rubber bands
  • Ribbon
  • Glue
  • 2 inch wiggly eyes
  • Large white pom-pom
  • Medium pink pom-pom
  1. Step 1

Place two towels lengthwise next to each other on your workspace. Take one towel and position it on the other towel so about 1 inch is overlapped.

  2. Step 2

Take two opposite corners and roll them both into the center of the towels until they meet. Hold the ends of the rolled towels, and fold them in half so the rolled side is facing out.

  3. Step 3

Wrap a rubber band around the folded towel to divide it into two equal sections. The looped half makes the bunny's body.

  4. Step 4

Hold the two free ends together, and fold them straight up and back so they lay against the body. The new folded section is the bunny's head. Secure it down by placing another rubber band around it and in line with the existing rubber band.

  5. Step 5

Allow the two free ends to rise back up naturally or pull them up, if needed, to make the ears.

  6. Step 6

Tie the ribbon around the head to hide the rubber bands and make a bow on the top. Use the glue to add on the wiggly eyes and the small pom-pom for the nose.

  7. Step 7

Glue the large pom-pom on the back of the body for the tail. Fill the middle of the body with baby supplies or a stuffed animal, and your bunny baby basket is complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want the recipient to be able to use the towel, apply double-stick tape to secure the eyes, nose and tail instead of the glue.
